9.3. Constructing an Array

An array can be constructed for a fixed number of elements of a specific type, using the new operator.

General syntax is as follows:

<array name> = new <element type> [<array size>];

Declaration + Construction: can be combined and the general syntax is

<element type1>[] <array name> = new <element type2>[<array size>];
